Health Squared Communications Wins IVCA Clarion Award

29 September 2008

Health Squared Communications has won a prestigious IVCA Clarion award for its work in producing the annual GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT awards.

The award was presented to Health Squared’s Managing Director Andrew Wigmore and GlaxoSmithKline Director of Communications Rebecca Harvey at a ceremony held at the British Film Institute Southbank in London. The IVCA Clarion awards are the world‘s only communication awards that promote the best in: social inclusion, CSR, sustainable development and ethical debate. Now in their 5th year the awards have become the most important and prestigious celebration of Ethical Communications and are highly regarded by business and the media industries.

The GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT awards recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. Over the decade these well-established Awards have contributed over £2 million to 220 UK community healthcare charities dealing with diverse and difficult issues, such as mental illness, domestic violence, sexual health and substance abuse. The Awards are designed to recognise and promote excellence in the work of small-to-medium-sized, UK-based, voluntary organisations that have made a significant impact on the health of their local communities.

Commenting on the win Health Squared’s Managing Director, Andrew Wigmore said "The whole team at Health Squared are over the moon at winning this award and being recognised by the IVCA. The annual GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT awards are very important to our company and everyone involved in producing them, it continues to be a privilege to work on the awards each year."
